Dominika Richards, Architect

Dominika Richards is an Architect at Deicke Richards. She works as a project architect across the full lifecycle of projects, from early briefing and concept development through to delivery and completion. Dominika has eight years of professional experience works primarily in affordable housing, community, health and education, where she is committed to design that strengthens communities, supports wellbeing, and responds intelligently to climate and sustainability.

Dominika brings a deep passion for sustainability and social purpose to her work. She enjoys working closely with clients to deliver robust, climate-responsive architecture tailored to their unique needs, and she sees design as a powerful tool for shaping how people live, connect and thrive. Her work is informed by a belief that architecture can and must contribute to more equitable, regenerative futures through thoughtful spatial configuration, sustainable methodologies, and a strong focus on environmental performance.

She has contributed to a range of significant projects, including the CTC Bob Marshman Building, ATSICHS Deception Bay Affordable Housing, and the ATSICHS Health Hubs, alongside award-winning work undertaken prior to joining Deicke Richards.

Dominika plays an active role in shaping the future of the profession through her leadership as the Queensland AIA Climate Action and Sustainability Committee Co-chair and as an engaged member of multiple industry organisations including Architects Declare, ACAN, and the Australian Passivhaus Association.

Dominika is passionate about advancing socially and ecologically sustainable design practices and is always eager to be further involved with working collaboratively to instigate change towards more sustainable future within the architectural profession.
