Magda Myszkowski, Associate/Senior Interior Designer

Magda Myszkowski is an Associate and Senior Interior Designer at Deicke Richards, leading interiors delivery across the practice’s diverse portfolio of affordable housing, education, community, and aged care and retirement living projects. She holds a Bachelor of Built Environment (Interior Design) from QUT and has undertaken specialist training through the University of Tasmania in Understanding Dementia and Preventing Dementia. Magda is a Member of the Design Institute of Australia and brings more than 25 years of professional experience to her role.

At Deicke Richards, Magda provides strategic leadership across all stages of interior design delivery, ensuring that interior environments are cohesive, considered and aligned with the broader architectural intent. She is particularly valued for her ability to translate complex operational, sensory, and user needs into interiors that are robust, welcoming and enduring.

Magda has deep expertise in designing environments for people living with dementia, neurodiversity, and disability. This knowledge is reinforced through her community leadership and advocacy roles, including serving as President of the Polish Ex-Servicemen’s Association, volunteering with QAGOMA’s Art and Dementia Programme, and facilitating creative collaging workshops for seniors, people living with dementia, and residents within social housing communities.

Magda’s personal career highlights include her work on Stella Maris Church, Churches of Christ Lady Small Haven, and Aveo Carindale, projects delivered from inception to completion with a strong on-site presence and close client collaboration. Projects she has contributed to have received multiple AIA and Learning Environments Australasia awards.

Driven by a human-centred design philosophy, Magda believes meaningful interiors emerge from empathy, curiosity, and deep listening. Her work prioritises longevity, circular sustainability, and adaptability, creating spaces that support comfort, autonomy, connection, and wellbeing over time.
